to the girls

To is for the girl who you can take home to mom, but won't because it's easier to mess with a another than work on a relationship. This is for the girls who has been led on my words and kisses and touches, all of which were either only true for the moment, or never real to begin with. This is for the girls who have allowed a guy in their head and heart and bed, only to discover that hes just not ready, he's just not over "her", he's just not looking to be tied down. This is for the girls who believe their excuses because its easier to believe thats it's not that they don;t want you, It's that they don't want anyone. This is for the girls who have had their hearts broken and their hopes dashed bu someone too selfish to have cared in the first place. This is for the nights dissecting every word and syllable and inflection in his speech for the nights you returned home alone, from the nights that you seen him across the room leaning a little too close, standing a little too near, or talking a little too softly for the girl's he's with to be a "friend"

Whatever, I am very happy to have a wonderful, beautiful daughter. Being alone did not turn out so bad after all - it will be hell with him, anyway, and Fate had been very kind. Unfortunately, not everyone gets to be as lucky, though. It is good to take care of yourself before any paramour.

Gawd, this is totally me. This is a very touching poem, but does it have an end? It kinda leaves you hanging. What is to the girl? I would love to know. I also used to write, if you don't have an end, maybe I could help you. Just send me a message if you care to.
