do love summer?

I just hate summer.It is going to start next month and April and may will be unbearable here.The heat dust and the humidity.I just shiver to think about it.

I love summer and it my favorite month by far. I like the long light evenings that are warm. I enjoy hot or warm days. I so like to go for long country walks and because there is less rain in the summer the ground is dry and not so muddy. It is wonderful to go to the beach on a hot day, a quiet less popular beach because the one if town gets crowded and busy. I like to leave my house early and go on a day trip, returning in the late evening. It is lovely to watch the sun shinning on the sea making it looks as sparkling as millions of diamonds. I like to see all the trees with leaves on and the pretty flowers. I love the feel of the warm sun on my skin but I take care not to get sun burnt. Summer in the UK is June, July and August. Yes, that is a short time. Going to Australia in December, January and February is a great idea for that time of year is their summer. I would like to live in the tropics and have summer all year round. It would either be hot and dry or hot and wet instead of cool ,hot, cool and cold. Tropical rain can be refreshing but in the damp UK it can be less fun.

When I was in school, I loved summer simply because it meant all freedom and no school. I got to see my friends more, and my parents let me stay up a little later than usual. However, as I got more serious about dance, I began to have mixed feelings about summer because most of the dance classes were just to stay in practice and there were never any performances coming up to speak of, so it was essentially the "off season" and therefore less exciting. I still loved the break from school though. One thing I always loathed about summer is that it was so hot! I never liked hot weather... because I spend so much time dancing, I am used to getting sweaty and uncomfortable feeling and the hot weather just enhances that. I also hate all the thunderstorms... Since I am no longer in school, there is really no break to look forward to of any sort... My favorite season has always been spring (initially for the biased reason of it being where my birthday falls but now it's also because I like the weather the best... not too hot, not too cold). But still, there are many things I do like about summer such as more vacations and more opportunities to go swimming and so on... =) My best friend and I may take a trip this summer so I am looking forward to that possibility.

I don't know where you are living but I wish that I was living there because summer doesn't start for us for another few months actually....I am like you though I just can't wait for the summer to start which is really weird because I use to only love the winter time whenever it was really cold! I don't really think that summer is that short I think that we just enjoy the warm weather and the chance to get outside so much that we have fun and before we know it the end of summer is upon us...but it does seem like it goes by fast!
