"America" rocked Casino Rama in spite of blizzard

Last Friday we took the Tai Pan bus to Casino Rama and saw "America." The band was definitely worth braving the blizzard for--they well and truly rocked. Tickets were sold out for the show but the house was only about 80% full. Pity, because they rewarded those of us who braved the blizzard by putting on a most excellent show for close to two hours! They played "Ventura Highway," "Sister Golden Hair," "Tin Man"--most of their hits, and they played "Horse with no Name" as an encore. They also played some tracks from their newest album "Here and Now"--their show was pretty close to perfection, I think. It would have been 100 percent if they played "Muskrat Love" which is my own most favourite! Any other 'America" diehard fans out there? It was a real bliss-ard for this golden oldie...LOL!!!

I think some of their songs are very good. I know Ryan Adams recorded a song with them and he is one of my favorites. Not all of their song s are good though, just too syrupy

I agree with you. Their melodies are very good but I can't make sense of the lyrics sometimes. Or maybe they are just too deep for me to understand, LOL!!! But they are very good. They did an extended jam of Sandman and boy they rocked!!!
