Have you been a Bridesmaid before?

I recently watched the movie '27 Dresses' by James Marsden and Katherine Heigl. It was by the scriptwriter of 'Devil wears Prada'. I must say I enjoy 'Devil wears Prada' much more than '27 Dresses'. Nonetheless, '27 Dresses' is still enjoyable to watch as it's funny and I like James Marsden =D
Anyway, coincidently, I was a Bridesmaid one week before I watched the movie '27 Dresses'. It's my good friend's wedding and I was a Bridesmaid for the first time in my life. Watching '27 Dresses' makes me wonder how many times I will be a Bridesmaid. In the show, Katherine Heigl is a Bridesmaid for 27 times. I do not think I'll break that record as I do not have as many good girl friends. LOL
Some girls in my country believe that it's no good to be a Bridesmaid for more than 3 times. The maximum should be 3. If you are a Bridesmaid more than 3 times, the chances of you getting married will be as good as zero.
I personally do not believe in this. I believe 'If it's meant to be, it's meant to be'. I do not think being a Bridesmaid many times can affect our future.
So, what's your take on this? Also, have you been a Bridesmaid before?

LOL.. I know this movie, it about both the sisters falling for the same guy and in the end, she decided to fight for her own happiness from her sister and marry the guy.. LOL =D
Being a bridesmaid may not be a bad thing after all, because if u do not have wat it takes to be a bridesmaid, wat will want u to be one?? hehe
PLus, there's a chance of u suddenly becoming the bride instead, just like the movie, 3 good men.. LOL =P

I have been a bridesmaid once so far, that was 6 years ago now. I would love to be a bridesmaid again. I do not believe being a bridesmaid more then 3 times effects the chances of you getting married, just another wives tail. I am still not married myself at 29 years old. Hope to be married before I be a bridesmaid again.

hi I have been a bridesmaid twice in the strict sense of walking down the aisle in church before the bride. But I have been Jiemei quite a number of times. I think I have friends who have been jiemeis for at least 10 times and they are only in their late twenties.
I have a friend who has been a bridesmaid in the strict sense three times already. And she is not married yet, but obviously she does not believe in that since she agreed to be bridesmaid the third time.
I was thinking of watching that show even though it sounds a bit silly and ditzy. But it's shows like this that help us to relax i guess!

Yup. It seems like the culture of having a Bridesmaid is less widespread in Singapore. Most people will just do with Jiemei-s.
I think the show is only worth watching on weekdays. It's quite funny but it's also very predictable. If you like James Marsden (just like me), you will enjoy it more. =P
