Well, i personally think that it has. Though Warcraft and diablo2 and both under Blizzard Entertainment. At home myself and my little brothers would do anything to play Diablo2 in a Day, but nowadays since Warcraft is the Game of The Century My brothers are more into Warcraft. I have not seen them play Diablo2 since then.

Well I don't play Warcraft and to be honest have never been interested in it. I still play Diablo 2 from time to time and it is the one game I've consistantly played since it's released. My Brother-in-Law and Sister played it often and are currently rushing thier characters :)

Sadly I do think that many of the Diablo 2 players have moved on to World of Warcraft, even though in my opinion Diablo 2 is a much better game. The problem is that Blizzard hasn't re-entered the Diablo universe yet, (although I'm pretty sure a 'Diablo 3' has been announced somewhere) which is making it lose its flair. The servers are eventually going to shutdown, much like Starcraft's servers when Starcraft 2 comes out. I think that now since there isn't another installment in the Diablo series, Warcraft is going to remain popular, but when that next Diablo game comes out, its popularity will shoot up again and Diablo will have as many players as it did swarming on Battle.Net like it did years ago.

well i dont think that game can affect the popularity of diablo. it is far better game than the warcraft and the thing which attracts me most is the game's story. it is so nice that i dont feel like quiting the game this is not present in warcraft
