he is a very nice singer and i think where i can remember that a song from pardes ...yeh dil diwana was his first song as a debut singer which became a superhit and gave him the rise he wanted.

Bevafa Sanam - by Gulshan kumar, was the first film, where sonu nigam has made his debute as a singer. Gulshan Kumar has given him first break. song "Achchha shila Diya..." was one of the popular song,even today it is very popular.
