Doing things the right way, is it RIGHT?

I have a husband who says that if he doesn't do it my way it not right. I ask him to take the trash out, he returned with someof the trash (large box) still in the container. I yelled back at him to come and see what he did and he said no, so I told him he brought trash back, he said it wasn't a big deal. I said, why not do it right the first time and he replied who said that it was the right way...because I said when you take the trash you take it all and you don't bring some back. Thats the way its done. He said it my way or its not right. HELP. pointers?
