For me it was helping a friend out for a wedding that she was helping decorate for her cousin. She doesn't sew, so she asked if I would sew the projects she came up with. I said sure...geez I had no idea what I was agreeing too lol. She needed 12 10foot runners, 96 napkins, curtains, a backdrop for behind the bride and groom table. I wouldn't have been so bad but the material was this shiny, silky, slippery fabric that was a real pain in the you know what to sew. What was your biggest craft project?

I would have to say the wedding bears that I made for my sister Sylvia for her wedding, which I personally thought came out awesome but she doesn't even display them. How rude!!!

A few years ago, I had a custom order for jewelry for a bridal party. After going back and forth for a couple of weeks, they finally settled on a design (up to this point I had almost no input) Finally they decided the bride-to-be and her mother settled on a design and I was able to proceed. I presented the pieces and the bride, her mother and 2 of her sisters loved them. Six days before the wedding, I get a call that her future mother-in-law isn't happy because her daughter (a bridesmaid in the wedding) wanted her jewelry to look exactly like the brides and since she was paying half the bill, she wanted it fixed...6 DAYS before the wedding!! All the pieces were slightly diferent from the bride and that was her idea. To make an already long story shorter, the bride's mom and future mom-in-law, almost came to blows (in front of me) and the bride's mom had to offer to pay for the jewelry herself (until the husband-to-be told his mother to butt out and if his sister didn't like it, she didn't have to participate) Thankfully the husband-to-be spoke up!! I'll never do another wedding... ever...well maybe if all the money is upfront and once the bride approves...no, never ever again!

my biggest craft project in scope is literally my biggest in size as well. it's a never-ending blanket that i'm crocheting with all the leftover yarn i have from other projects. i've been making it for years and it covers me like an enormous throw while i work on it.
