Kung Hei Fat Choi! We are celebrating the Chinese New Year with a BANG. But in the beginning of this year we are deluged by political problems. JDV was recently ousted and we have new speaker now. The ZTE deal scandal is getting complicated. What is next? They say the earth rat will bring wealth. But will it bring some good luck for the Philippines? I believe if our government will not change for the better... stop politicking and erase graft and corruption, we will not progress as we should. What is your forecast for 2008?

I agree with you, graft and corruption will hinder our progress, but it is better if Gloria would be ousted from the presidency, you see if she is still there nothing will change, only lip service.Do you believe that our economy is gaining ground as Gloria kept on saying time and again.

We must grab this opportunity presented by the testimony of Lozada to oust her from power. If not we will suffer until 2010 and that is very difficult for us Filipinos who knows the true state of our nation.

I believe Power and money cannot ouster Gloria from Malacanang. She cannot be impeached because the majority of congressmen still protects her. Just pray that she will change and see what we need.

I think the economy will continue to boom but there were still be lots of scandals in the government but knowing PGMA, she knows how to get and pay those who needs to be paid in order to remain in power. People are tired of getting involved in politics and stressing their rights so they'd rather concentrate in making a living or probably leaving the country to look for greener pasture.

People really get tired as you say and I hope and pray our government should listen to the common tao and attend to prioroty bills so we can move forward. The opposition should not only buffer and be a good watch dog. But instead of bickering they should pass laws to fight corruption.

It's my prediction and I am entitled to it...It's not something to be agreed upon because it is just a PREDICTION, not a final statement that you can indict me because of it. As to if the economy is booming, you cannot say the government just create numbers to say that our economy is indeed booming, there are indicators I have used why I PREDICTED it that way - stronger peso, higher GNP,GDP, more jobs, etc... If they are just cover upping the "stronger peso" thing, then why did we maintaine to have it for a period of time now while our neighboring countries, and even America can't maintain now? More jobs I say? Only a few gets to be in the call center companies, for example because there are a few numbers of professionals who really consider being a call center agent a profession, for them its just a job to augment their everyday living and nothing else. It is high paying but never permanent. People going out of the country doesn't mean that economy is the only thing that is bad here, there are still lots of opportunity but as they say but graft and curroption should be addressed first so as to ensure that you get what you really deserve as Filipinos. Everyone else must work, not just opposition as the guarddog but US as responsible citizens. We don't need lots of laws that would soon me left unimplemented. We just need to make sure that all our laws are strictly followed and people must have self-discipline all the time. (Sorry ha, sobrang napaniwala ako sa PANTAYONG PANANAW ng ilang historyador)
