well, we got an automated call about 5:45 a.m. this morning letting us know that schools were gonna be closed for today due to the bad weather. a tornado hit on the other side of our town about 6 a.m. this morning. we are still under bad weather till noon they say which is about 3 more hours away. my oldest son is happy for no school. he's taking today to play. it is his first time for a no school due to weather. he kept wanting to go to school until i sat him down and explained why he was out for today. he's just in kindergarden. He's playing a game now and my youngest son is watching him play. I guess all kids enjoy these weather days out of school. They can always find something to do inside to occupy their minds. I am enjoying having him here, too. I will know he's safe here with me. Do other parents enjoy having their kids home?

My kids had a snow day yesterday and today school dosen't start until 10. My son is in 4th grade and will be leaving in a few minutes but since my daughter is in morning preschool they just cancelled the moring session and she does not get to go. I don't get anything done when the kids are home on a snow day all I do is pick up after them all day.

I can usually get stuff done. It's just according to their moods. Whether they are good or in a bad mood and arguing or fussing or fighting with each other. So far today they are getting along. My oldest which is 6 will clean up after himself which is great. My youngest is 4 and he's the one I have to pick up after. He just doesn't want to pick up any of his toys.

As long as both the parents and their children are at home and sharing that day with each other due to that reason. We all know that most parents would be working, especially when they have more children to take care of or one's salary isn't enough to cover daily expenses which makes both ma and pa work. Having that time together, perhaps the parents as well got their jobs cancelled, seems like a nice oppurtunity for the family to be together. Eventually making parents realize that they get the chance to be with their children and no job or work to be worried about.
