This must have been the unluckiest day of his life! ---------- GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Two different armed robbers hit a Grand Rapids convenience store in one evening, taking money from the same store clerk on both occasions. Tommy Gutierrez, 31, works at the Shell station on the city's northwest side. The robbers struck a little more than two hours apart on Sunday night. Gutierrez told WZZM-TV he gave the thieves what they asked for and no one got hurt. Gutierrez said he has no plans to quit his job at the store because he has bills to pay and a wife and children to support. ---------- What are the odds of that? Where are the police?

Man talk about a bad day on the job. I'm glad he wasn't injured in the robberies. I think he is pretty brave to stay working there. I think I would have quit after the first robbery. Hopefully they will catch the creeps who did it.

That was very unfortunate indeed. Wasn't there an alarm system in the store? Or maybe he was thinking that the robbery was not going to be duplicated in one day. My heart is for him. Sometimes people who needed the money the most are the ones getting robbed. While others waste their money and throw them away on casinos and gambling games. This is the world we are living in. I'm glad we're only temporary here.

Regardless of how many bills I had to pay, I agree with curlyred, I would have been out of there after the first robbery! That is one brave man to stay.

If they are anything like the police that patroll the area where the convenience store that I work in is then they were probably busy telling them how he was wasting their time. At least, that is what happened to me when I got robbed. Not held up mind you, just robbed. My initial reaction when I seen the two 15 year old girls bolt for the door was to hit the panic button. When the police arrived they started rolling their eyes at each other and mocking me. The next night the same two girls held up a video store with a knife. That being said, that poor man is so unlucky! I can not imagine being held up once let alone twice. When my store was held up I had gotten off work only a few hours earlier. (the police made no effort to catch that person either by the way). I really hope he is ok and not too nervous working there now.
