For ALL Step Parents..

So I was wondering since im goin threw this now..well im engagaed and Bobby lives with us..and Skylar has been calling him daddy..btw..his ral dad has never been around since he was born and never will..anywho..it has taken a couple months for Sky to accept him..how does your children get along with there Step Parent?

Hello cloud_kicker_32,
I'm practically in the same situation Bobby is, and my girlfriends' little girl loves me, even know that I've just been around for about a year, and little girl is 6 right now, so, she knew her dad, he left after a divorce with mom.
So, even that I'm not necesarily playing the role of step dad, but I pretty much have the acceptance for it.

I got on fine with my step dad, as long as he left me alone, which didn't happen all that often. He came into my life, and placed expectations on me that should never be placed on a kid of 7. We all survived, but I still find it hard to talk to him.
