Worry or stress is a major cause. You might not be fully aware that you are stressed about something, is there any one topic that keeps coming to mind throughout the day or when you lie in bed? Chamomile tea is pretty relaxing if you are having difficulty unwinding before bed. If that doesn't work take a good look at your diet. Get rid of anything that has MSG in it, you'll need to read labels and avoid ranch dressing for sure. Then look at the balance of your foods. Too many carbs or too heavy a meal later in the day could be a contributing factor to insomnia. That's about all I can think of at the moment. Good luck.

according to a research, insomnia is caused by too much stress and over fatigue.. but the good news is that insomnia can still be treated, depending on the person's determination to get well.. you can do things before sleeping to ensure you'll have a good sleep.. you can drink milk, or you can do a lot of reading so that your eyes will get tired and it will make you sleepy.. during daytime, you should try not to strain yourself much.. find time to relax and have a break..

There can be many reasons why you are unable to sleep... you are worried, anxious, stressed. For example , during a period of strong stress I can't sleep and I had took medicinal products for sleep, fortunately now is past.

Are you worried about something this is often the case with insomnia. I find that if you write down all the things that worry you before going to bed this can help, also instead of thinking that you must sleep, think instead ok I can't sleep so I'll stay awake then, I find the more I try to stay awake the more likely I sleep.
