Finding Motivation

I'm finding it harder to have the motivation to start and/or participate in discussions here. I know that I chat other places and don't get paid so the payment should be a plus to something I already enjoy doing. But, for some reason, it is not. It just takes too long to earn enough for payout, for me. And, there are not enough discussions that I want to participate in. OH well. LOL Guess I'll just keep typing away. I'll get to another payout when I get there.

I've also lost the gusto of posting discussions as of late. But my reason is due to ythe deletion of so many discussions that are borfer line or not at all violations of the guidelines. So I have not been really active a lot. I didn't make payout last month and only need 20 cents to make Februarys payout so I am taking it easy here. Thanks for this opportunity as well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

i say you forget the money, and post for fun, just look at the top discussions and related discussions to nice ones, you'll have more interests, and you'll see more new posts. what i really like about mylot is that its fun to post, and the money thing is really a secondary thing to me. happy posting, buwald

I can understand where you are coming from. When that happens to me, though, I know I can always fall back on my greatest obsession, and passion. I love Genral Hospital (the soap) and have watched for the 40 out of 45 years it's been on air, also run my own message board about it, do screencaps on a daily basis, record the transcripts and have a ton of stuff I can post about So I am never at a loss for something to chat about. I only worry that it might post about it and in that category too much! Good luck. I am sure things will come to you to enjoy discussing!

I understand your feelings. I frequently feel the same way. When I look at some of the discussions, I admit that they dont seem to be all that interesting. Then again, I have a hard time sometimes thinking of a topic that would be of interest to people. It does seem to take forever to get a couple of cents. But, I guess we shall just have to soldier on, right?

I can find lots of discussions to respond to...my problem is being able to focus on them long enough to do a good share of them. I'll start out and then while I'm answering discussions, in the back of my mind I start thinking about other things (like playing a game, cross stitch charts, baking cookies, ect.)that I might want to do and then I end up distracted. I also find that if I answer a set number of discussions in the morning I'm more able to do them where later in the day I won't feel like it and if I open each discussion I want to respond to in it's own window (like if I have 25 discussions I want to respond to, I open 25 windows) then I just keep responding until all the windows are gone. It seems to work out for me. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I have had the same feeling lately. I have a hard time thinking of topics to post but I do my very best to post something by going over discussions posted by my friends, top discussions, discussions from my interests, new discussions and recent discussions. If I find something really interesting, I respond. If I get to think of related topics, I post my own discussion.
