Is the Baby in the Woman's Womb Human?

I never outgrew the habit of asking questions as a litle kid. So here are some questions that have been bugging me lately. Is the fetus in a mother's womb human? If not, what is it? If it is human, is it a person? If it's a person, is it alright to terminate that person? If it's not a person, then what is it?

The unborn is human, genetically identical to us. Is it a person? Would a child raised by wolves be a person? Would a person whose brain had degenerated be a person? But person even if the unborn is not a person still it is human. The question then comes down to compassion, the problems that allowing the unborn to live can not outweigh killing that human. all the best urban

Human, yes. Person no. It's non-sentient, non-feeling and non-viable. And even if it were deemed a person, it still wouldn't matter. Nothing person or otherwise, is permitted to use the body of another without their express and ongoing consent, even if it means the life of that entity. McFall v Shimp.

Unless there is another McFall v Shrimp out there that I am not aware of (and I am not an attorney), I believe you are siting this case incorrectly. In McFall v Shimp the mother was caring a viable baby (36 weeks) and refused a cesarian for religius reasons. the doctors wanted to the cesarean due to placental insufficency.

Um, no. It's case wherein a boy had cancer and his cousin was the only bone marrow match and the cousin denied the procedure. The boy tried to get a court order on the cousin's marrow and the judge ruled that the use of a person's body for the benefit of another against their will to be unconstitutional.

Naw... it starts out a mouse (small) and then becomes a kangaroo (jumping and kicking all over), followed by an elephant (or so it feels). Note my sarcasm. What an unusual way to ask this question. And no I am not going to take a stand on the abortion issue. Thanks Anyhow.

I think that at the mommet a baby is conceived in the womb it is a person. I think that the baby ends up getting a soul at that mommet.
