I usually have to have some type of music playing in order to fall alseep, a habit I'm trying to break. Do you have to have complete quiet or background noise to fall asleep?

I'm like you, and have developed a need to listen to music in order to get to sleep. It wasn't always like that, but has been for the last 6 months or so. It's so difficult to break free from too, because I need sleep, and if listening to some favourite music will help to achieve that faster, then why not just listen to it? Quite the conundrum, wouldn't you agree?
