Not sure if the spelling is right, it's when the take the uterus and ovaries out of a woman. My mom just had one and her doctor didn't explain much. She also didn't have a lot of questions prepared because it was sudden. They found a tumor on her ovary the size of a soccer ball and put her in surgey 3 days later. Does it cause early menapause? If so it is less or more severe than normal? Other than cleaning while she recovers are there suggestions for helping her?

it's hysterectomy.. it's the removal of the uterus.. once a woman undergone this kind of surgery, she wont be able to conceive again because she already have no uterus.. im sorry to know that your mom has this.. but i cant believe she had a tumor as big as a soccer ball, coz it can cause rupture to her ovary and might acquire more complications.. im glad she had the surgery soon..
