Do you use Splash Pages in Traffic Exchanges?

I read that one should set up splash pages that are very directed and focused when utilizing traffic exchanges because you only have 10-30 seconds to get someone's attention. I had been circulating my blog and wasn't seeing much success. I make it a project to set up several pages and have been seeing some signups. What has been your experience with splash pages and traffic exchanges? Are you using them or do you plan to? If you have set up a splash page, I'd love to take a look at it.
