botox in kids

my son is 7 years old and he has stiffness in his knee and calf . the docter have tried serial castings.but the results are not were they would like them.so they want to try botox .know with this botox scare i dont know what decision i should make . even though before i was not sure i wanted to go through with. if any one had any experience with this.hotw much should i be concern.

my main concern would be his age. Are the side effects gone to be more serious or more dangerous because of his age. I would defiently want a second opinion on this if this was my son. A different doctor might have a different method and different out look on your son's condition. Find a different doctor who is not in any way have anything to do with this doctor. It would not be something that I would jump right into with my son. Second opinion and I would also seek out alternative medicines. Seems like you have some research to do.

My son had it done. It did not have any problems with it after he was done. It is very painful. If you decide to do it, make sure they give you something for him to take or put on before the appt.. They held my son down at the age of 7 and poked him about 20 times. They go deep into the muscle, so it is not just a little prick. Do some research on it before you do it. We did not have good enough results to do it a second time. Good luck with your decision.

i did decide to postpone his appointment . i felt like it was a sign, for this information to be release on the news 5 days prior to his injection date. but i still have to address his condition.i was already nervous when they told me . and i had a month to decide.thank you for sharing your story with me it really help . if you know any other people who has the same experience . that information would be greatly appreciated.
