Does weight lifting stops height?

I am in a problem these days...It's being two months I am going to gym, I lift weight but not over my head, most of the people say that weightlifting stops height. Is it right or wrong?

It has no scientific evidence that lifting weights is one factor of limiting height. Please be cautious though if you are in your teens. It is not advisable for teens to lift heavy weights.

Lfting will not negatively affect the growth of your height. You should seek profesional guidance in your gym especially as you are at an important age of your life.
