who is the best actor in the world?

The most consistently excellent actor these days is Tom Hanks. He has yet to have a performance that was not excellent. Granted some of the films were duds, like Road to Perdition and the ending of Castaway sucked, but his performances were still great. I really liked him in Terminal and Catch Me if You Can.

Since we are talking about the world actor. I would like to choose some of my favorite actor from Hollywood in no particular rank. The reason I choose them as best actor because they were able to portrait different characters in movie. Actor like Charlton Heston, Robin William, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Leonardo De Caprio & Edward Norton. Female actor like Jodie Foster & Child Actor Dakota Fanning.
