Can you taste the difference between Absolut and Grey Goose?

I'm a big vodka drinker. It's so versatile. You can mix it with anything and come out with a good concoction. I used to be a big Absolut fan until I tried Grey Goose. It tastes a little bit sweeter. Can you taste the difference between different vodka brands?

Yes I can tell a difference between the two. I actually prefer Absolut though, but for a totally stupid reason. I like the taste of grey goose so much more, but the bottle is ridiculous. If i want it to fit in the cabinet, I have to get the small size, and when we have parties I need A LOT of vodka so I end up spending way more buying smaller bottles than that one they have that's the size of a house. I like Absoult's packaging more, so I tend to buy that more. Stupid I know, but yet I still do it. If grey goose could come out with a shorter, fatter bottle, I would buy it more. I wrote them not too long ago and received a responded from the marketing team that it was "their design". So be it.

That's so funny, but true!!! I know how you feel. When I have parties in the house we go through a LOT of Vodka. Even when we go to a bar, we usually just order the whole bottle. It winds up costing us less than buying it by the glass.

yes i can taste the difference between brands. but one of the great things about vodka is that once you've mixed it with something, even the cheapest house vodka is still drinkable. but try drinking it straight and i guarantee you wouldn't like it. i'm not much of a fan of absolut myself, but grey goose, ketel one, and finlandia are all nice. i've found that stoli has the best taste for the price you pay for it.
