friends/creeping

Hey, y'all. I was just talking to some of my friends about facebook, we're all new to it. Having close contact with people you know is all well and good, but what about people you don't know? There seems to be a new trend going around called "creeping"? People going thru strangers facebook profiles and stuff and pictures, you can find out a lot about a person without actually knowing them. What's up with this? Does anybody partake in this creeping or think it's ok? Puts me off a bit.

Facebook has many, many security features that allow you to choose what you want certain people to be able to know/see about you. Hell, you can even go as far as not allowing your profile to be invisible to anyone you do not add as a friend yourself. Try going to the My Account/Settings page and adjusting it to you liking. You can also change what you want to appear in your mini-feed as well what you would want to appear about you in others' mini-feeds by choosing the preferences link at the top of your mini-feed on your homepage.
