Sick of News

Recently I have not been able to watch the news, local or national. First of all, everything is so damn negative nowadays. The first thirty minutes of all news cast are death, fire, arrest, unrest, uprising yadda yadda yadda.... Then national wise, it goes straight to the same stail stories of Barrak and Hillary battling it out. Even my local news stations have fallen under this Canidate Curse. Now a understand that life is not all rainbows and sunshine, but why can't these news channels pull something positive from the negative? It probably because good news doesn't sell. Maybe people would rather have something to complain about or blame. I don't know, I'm just tired of it. Whats your feel on this? Is the news just doing its job? Opinions please...

I stopped watching the news years ago when parents started killing and drowning their kids. That was it for me. I can take the crimes but against innocent kids, no way. The only time I watch news is to check for school closings when it snows.

I'm with you on that point. People seem to be getting more sick and twisted as time rolls on. It's sad really.

I know how you feel. My husband sent me an e-mail from work about Denzel Washington. He visited a hospital where wounded soldiers are evacuated from Germany, Brooks hospital in Texas, and all or most of the housing used for the families to stay temporarily were being used. he asked how much one cost and wrote the check right there. The news knew about it but chose not to do the story over all the negative stuff. I thought that was messed up.

Exactly why I am so tired of it all. Someone could save a whole bus load of children, but if one broke his arm, the entire story would revolve around pain and anguish. There needs to be a time for showing the good side of life or people with forget that there is one.
