Autoresponders/newsletters

Ok I got a question for everyone here. I have my own blog (moneymakingblog) well who doesnt these days ? and so I am considering creating a newsletter or a autoresponder to my blog as well, but I am not really sure what is the difference between those 2 things ? Can anyone recommend one that are free to start ? one that are easy to work with. Thanks
