how often do you clean out your freezer?

when i have left overs, i generally throw them in the freezer and i was looking for something and found a box of chocolates that i got for christmas that i had forgotten about...
i have all these margarine containers with random food in them...i really need to clean out my freezer!
as you can probably tell, cleaning out my freezer is pretty much last on my 'to do' list.

LOL. Thanks for the nudge. Its not so much the freezer I'm worried about, its the refrigerator. I tend to procrastinate about removing those things way in the back and to be perfectly honest the whole darn thing could use a good cleaning.

Currently I have two things in my freezer, lol. So it is easy to keep it clean, items wise. I mean I'll never not forget there is a thing of ice cream in there that has freezer burn. However, somehow, I always find little things on the side of the freezer that I wonder about the origin. It looks like things coming off of a box, yet there is nothing in there for things to fall off of. So when I see things like that, I actually get some disinfectant and clean. But there are never any food items to thrown away.

Hon, The best way to clean it is before you stick something in it ask yourself if you will be throwing it away in a month..if the answer is yes then just toss it now.We use our leftovers the next day for lunch or the boys eat them later in th evening while working on line or playing a game.
