I really love to travel and have seen many lovely mosques in the world. I think the one that you are talking about is in Indonesia. I have been to Sumatra and I stayed near a mosque. I could hear the singing from it at dawn before I got out of bed. The most beautiful mosque that I have ever seen was the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem in Israel. Wow! It looked stunning with all its pattern and color. I think much of it is gold as well. How very special it is and it sounds like the Golden Dome Mosque is as well.

Where is this Mosque? What city ? What country? It's very interesting. I'd like to add that on my list of places to see before I pass on to the after-life.

I've not visit that mosque yet but some people say that golden dome is really big! Especially it is made from 24 carat gold! Actually there are 4 mosques in the world with golden domes + 1 golden dome from holy Islamic building. All of them are grand mosques. 1-Masjid Dian Al-Mahri, Depok, Indonesia. 2-Masjid Bandar Seri Begawan at Brunei. 3-Masjid Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin, Brunei. 4-Masjid Al-Askari in Samarra, Iraq. 5-Golden Dome, Jerusalem. (1)Masjid Dian Al-Mahri, Depok, Indonesia: The mosque building has 5 domes, the biggest one has 5 domes. The main dome diameter is 20 metre while other 4 domes diameter are 7 metre. The main dome is inspired from the dome of Taj Mahal. Maybe this mosque is the most grandest mosque in Southeast Asia..big giant golden dome! (2)Masjid Bandar Seri Begawan,Brunei This mosque has 29 domes with 24 carat gold and it is a part of Sultan Brunei's Palace. The mosque is located at Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei. Royal mosque with royal gold.. :) (3)Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddin This shining golden dome mosque is named after 28th Sultan of Brunei. The dome is made from 24 carat gold and can be seen virtually anywhere in Bandar Seri Begawan. It means Bandar Seri Begawan has two mosques with golden domes..wow..really rich country...The cost to build this mosque is USD$ 5,000,000 !! Rich right?! (4)Masjid Al Askari , Samarra, Iraq Poor mosque..the unique golden dome was destroyed in a bombing by extremist in 2006. This mosque was built in 944..very old mosque..In April 2009, the golden dome have been restored and the shrine reopened to visitor. I heard about the Mosque, but never been there. Yes, people said it's beautiful. Actually, I live not too far away from that Mosque, but I am too lazy to go there if I think about the trafic jam. Mesjid Dian Almahri opens for public every day now since everyday I see lot of people from other cities visit it using the buses. Heem, I can't believe it there is a beautiful mosque at the village town and furnished by gold

iam sad because even i had ever visited Depok, i never go to this Masjid.i do hope omeday i can visit Mesjid.
