After all the stuff going on right now with politics, I have decided officially who I am voting for, since Garfield can't really take the position, not having opposable thumbs and all. I am voting for Stephen Colbert. I know he was joking on his show and all about running. How ever with all the complaining of who should be in charge, I have decided with out any help but my own mind, even though my vote may not count, at least I have voted my conscience. **EGO ago ut confront current Habenae...Suffragium...Pugna...Lucror.** I live to confront the current Government...Vote...Fight...Win Ainge

The problem with voting for someone who is not on the ballot is the damn electoral college. You saw what happened in the last election with Bush. He did not actually win the popular vote, but he did win because of the electoral college. Even if Colbert won the popular vote, the electoral college would have no obligation at all to elect him. He is not on the ballot. He has not filed any of the required papers to run. He has not even really made any serious committments. I am not saying he would not make a good President. I am just pointing out the problems that will arise if folks start seriously considering him as a candidate. Our voting process is not set up for something like this. It is a shame it isn't. It would be awesome if someone of integrity just suddenly stood up and said, enough is enough, I am running and to hell with the rest of the candidates, vote for me! Shalom~Salaam~Peace

I was not trying to tell you not to vote. I was pointing out the flaws in our system. I think that it is time that we revamped the idea of an electoral college. It has been with us since the beginning when they figured people were too ignorant to vote properly. Even if that is still true, it is still wrong. It is our country and who the hell are these people in this "college", and how do they get to do this? I am going to look that up. You know, I never have since I was in school. I know I knew it then, but have forgotten. Shame on me! Shalom

I so agree, but I have to vote my conscience and still vote. I can't support any of the candidates on a good level so I figure at least I will vote, even if it does not count. They really should bring back the popular vote. Maybe I will work on that for a movement because of the fact that when I lived in Alaska and stood in line for 4 hours with a colicy baby and nursing when I got home they annouced the President. Talk about knowing your vote does not count. That was a slap in the face. Blessings Ainge

If enough of us vote for him they have to. He could actually win if enough people voted for him. Wouldn't that be a shock. I think there are enough of us out there we could get him in actually. I think he would make a great candidate and heck, no one could make fun of him because he already does comedy. thanks for your response and get the word out...A Vote for Colbert is a Vote for America. HEHE, Stephen Colbert is awesome and i agree with your view. The country is supposed to unite in electing it's leader but all it ever turns into is shmear campaigns and digging into peoples pasts and pointing out their downfalls...it's not what voting is supposed to be. I'd laugh my butt of if people wrote colbert in and he went far in the election, hehehe.

If God leads you to vote for that man, go ahead! We are accountable for our actions. You don't need someone to entice you to vote for somebody! It's between you and God!

Well thank you, it is also my honour, my conscience, and my mind that allows me to be able to do that. Ainge
