Earrings

I am allergic to all but gold earrnings. Even the ones that say "for sensitive ears" I can only wear for a short time before they start to bother me. I have heard that applying clear nail polish to earring posts works for people with super-sensitive ears like mine. Has anyone ever tried this and how well does it work? If it works I would love to do it because it would allow me to have a much larger selection of earrings! But I don't want to hurt my ears or do anything that could harm them so I wanted to know if anyone else had tried it before I do it.

I don't think I would do nail polish...claire's used to sell cleaning lotion for sensitive ears or something like that...probably wherever near you that pierces ears would sell the stuff you can use...mine were always painful & infected unless I wore a certain kind & used that solution...i don't remember what kind because I probably haven't worn earings in over 13 years!!
