How do you get your articles viewed at helium

I am new to helium and have only written two articles there. I am trying to learn every thing I need to know about the site, but I still have questions. Do you earn more by how many times your article is read? How does it really work? Thanks for any and all help!

My articles have not earned much. I think this is partly because I don't do a lot of rating. I think the more you rate the more your articles appear in the Rate feature. I do rate a few articles each time I submit one.
If you can link your articles linked to another website and it gets seen, your earnings will also increase. If you put a link to a Helium article into your everyday emails, and get your family and friends to read them, this will also help.
