The more I do at work the more I find needs to be done.

As most of my friends know I am working at home for a local doctor writing his policy and procedure manual. I am also going into the office two days a week to get the office up and ready for our accredication application. I started in December, and have almost written the Policy and Procedure manual. I am waiting on a book that I ordered that will give me the proper way to set up a policy and procedure manual. I now have been going into the office and getting the information I need for our quality assurance. As I aduit the charts I am finding more and more things I need to do. I am finding that the office manager does not know that the proper way these charts need to be set up nor does she know the proper way to handle a no show. I am glad I can do this for the doctor. I know if the accredication commedity comes in and aduits these charts we will not pass accredication. I am glad I have the job. I can tell you I am so tired and am back to not feeling the best. I find my house is not as clean as it could be but I am so tired. I go to work on Mondays and Thursdays for 1/2 a day and work from home 8 more hours in the week. I am finding it may be to much for me. The dizziness and jerking is coming back. When I am not working I have been taking long naps on the couch. I hope I can continue to work. I guess my body will tell me if I cannot work so much and I have to stay home more. Being disabled is the pits, I use to be able to work 60 hours pluse a week and keep a house and raise my children. Now I cannot seem to work 45 hours a month and keep a house. My children are raised. I will keep you posted. Thanks for listening.

Hang in there! I come home from work exhausted every day and I wonder how I handled taking care of kids after work, cooking every night, running errands and chauffering them around. My energy level has really dropped but I'm trying to stay active. I'm glad you are working! I'm sure it helps out and it sounds like you really enjoy your work. Maybe you can cut back on the hours a bit to help you adjust?

I am tryfing to work through the fatigue and symptoms to see if I will adjust. Friday night I came down with a migraine and have had it ever since. I slept almost all day yesterday and the same today.

Slow down and take it little by little. You do not want to get over-whelmed by this. Pace yourself. Even though I know that you are very happy about going back to work, you have other obligations. If you do not put you first, you will not be able to do anything for anybody. We all feel the crunch of age now and then and realize that we can not do what we use to do. But we have to adjust to it. It is a part of life that we can not change. It is like putting yourself on a budget and then being constantly over drawn at the bank. It will not work and you will lose so much just from spending that little bit too much. If you are not well who's going to spoil my little nephew, Petie? What? What?

Thanks for your advise. Your nephew is going to get a bath and a haircut tomorrow. Abagail has given him fleas once again. We will get rid of them and put flea stuff on the whole family. Petie is fine he sents his wet sloppy kisses to his Auntie Rozie.

Oh poor Petie. I am sorry that he has fleas again. Maybe Abigail should stay in the house so that she is not bringing her little friends home for her brother to itch and be miserable.

When I was working full time and raising kids and going to school my house was horrible. There was times we could not find the kitchen sink and laundry would pile up for ever. I swear my home would look like something the Kim and Aggie clean on How Clean is Your House? Now my house is not as bad but it gets cluttered and the floors need to be vaccuumed and my bathroom needs to be cleaned. I need help to move one of my dressers to vaccuum under it. I noticed cat hair piled up under the edge of the dresser. I have not moved it since we move in here three years ago. I think it is time. I have help today so this afternood I will be doing that. I will rest the rest of the week. I did sleep almost all day Saturday and yesterday. I had a migraine. I feel better today. I even went back to bed on Saturday and slept till noon. I have not gone back to bed in months. I usually lay on the couch. I slept on and off on the couch yesterday. Today I got up at 5:30 and feel great no migraine yet. How are you doing? How is you pain? You take care XOXOXOXOX

I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and that the work is bringing you down physically. Be sure to take it slow (it sounds like you are trying to take it slow) and cut back if you need to. You don't want to get totally down and not be able to do anything. Sounds like a LOT Of mental stress to me,worrying about things being done just right and worrying about the office being audited and such. Go slow and take care of you too!!

thanks for your kind words. Have you ever worked in a doctors office? I think they do not do enough follow-up on patients who are no shows for an appointment. I have come up with a tracking page so they have to call the patient three times and then send a letter to them. Before they just sent them a letter and refiled the chart. These are people with breathing problems. Scares the heack out of me. Now they have changed that.

You're title for your discussion says it all. First, I really have to admire you though for what you ARE doing and must in some ways give you a satisfaction to not only work but get some extra money. But I do know what you're talking about. But yes it can be so frustrating when one just simply doesn't have the energy to work like one used to have or feel great either I've only had my own computer for a year now. Prior to that I went to the library everyday where one is only allowed an hour usage so of course didn't get that much done...on occasion when I knew I needed more than one hour I'd go to an Internet place. So I thought the answer to my prayers in a way would be to have my own computer and get all the work done whenever I wanted and for how long I wanted. Wrong! Now with my own computer I find MORE things to do...scan my photos, touch them up at Photoshop, write articles, write an ebook (which I'm currently also doing), all this is so time consuming and I get frustrated since I feel I'm not doing enough each day. I need more time each day! Like 60 hours in a day! :( Oh..you changed your avatar..I love it but I miss your kitty one

I accidently found out how to change my avatar so I decided I needed some spring. That is a photo o my squash flower from my squash which i only got one from. Lots of flowers but only one fruit. I did attact lots of aphids last year. I may add Abagail or Petie later on. I just took a couple of photo's of Abagail the other day laying out in the yard in the son. She is such a pretty kitty. Abagail is getting so fat because she eats herself through the neighborhood. hahaha. I do not know how many of the neighbors are feeding my poor hungry kitty. LOL I am worried she will not live long because of her obesity but she loves going outside and was raised outside before I got her so I cannot think of not letting her go out in the great outdoors. I think we tend to have such great plans with work and our bodies tell us differently. Thank you for your kudos. It is hard going to work two days a week. I hate using the bus because it takes an extra hour to get there and back. I call the bus, I wait for them to show up, then I ride all over town until they get to my stop. It is dial a ride for the handicapped so it comes to the door. I then have to call it to take me home. That is another hour. I may work 4 to 6 hours but waiting for the bus and being on the bus will take up to 8 hours total waiting for the bus or on the bus. At least I get to work and have a job. I wish I did not have dizzy spells because I have a very nice Buick La Sabre sitting in my driveway that goes out when I have a driver or when my hubby and I go out of two which is not to often. It may be a week or two before my car is even started. I use to jump into my car and go where ever I wanted to. Now I walk or take the bus. Work is to far to walk to I also take my lap top and it is heavy to carry. I am sorry for whinning I am glad I do have the job and the extra money sure helps the budget. My goal for this year is to pay off my credit cards. Hugs to you and your kitties, teapot, Petie, Sammy and Abagail
