Hello & good day: My 1999 Toshiba 55" projection tv (model number TP55H95) became sick yesterday (Feb 15, 2008). Picture is still perfect but having major problem with the sound level. I have to turn the sound all the way to maximum at 100 to just be able to hear it at a VERY, VERY low level. I will pay to fix this as I am not a big fan of "widescreen" right now, and I love this tv, as I have NEVER had any problem with it for 9 years which is awesome. I just signed up to "my Lot" today to find some help. THANX!!!!!

We have a Toshiba 52 inch and we love it as well. I do know with these tv's that there are a couple of power (I call them Fuses) not sure the right term for them but one of these could have blown or your speaker box. Most things on these tv's cost about $200-$500 to repair which isn't to bad if it's in home service.

Thanx Blackbay for your response....WELL it turns out that this past sunday I got the sound working just fine without paying for tv tech. I unhooked the coax cable line from my Verizon set-top box and hooked it right up to the back of the tv, and then got perfect sound!!!!! So I called Verizon after switching cable back and they told be to go to menu...audio...set-top box volume; and sure enough the thing had reset itself to zero (not on 30 as before...which is the high end). I appreciate your response and man was I happy when I got it figured out. Hopefully this will help out someone else with same problem. ;)

Well Right On!! I'm glad it didn't end up costing a bunch of Money for Ya and I'll have to keep that in mind if I hear someone else having the same problem. Have a Great Day!
