another question about mylot and affiliates

Mylotters, I know that I have seen others post on here ways that they are trying to earn money... I am wondering what the rules are on this. I wanted to post something that I'm trying to be an affiliate of. I don't want to have my profile yanked though. Not when I've just gotten started, and I really like it here. Where would I do this, if it alright to do so? In the blog portion of my profile? What kind of content is accepted? I wanted to post a banner only. And my own written text. I also have another idea, and please, please let me know if this is a no-no or not. For anyone who also has a affiliate program or something of that nature, if you give me hits to the website, I will also go to the website and do the same for yours. I won't say that I will definitely buy whatever is there, but I will look and at least give it a chance. Anxious for your answers, B
