I notice that everyone has a favorite something or other. What about a pet? For me I have a favorite dog, a favorite cat, favorite parakeets, and favorite fish. It is too hard to chose just one. My dog is a purebred pomeranian named Machito. The thing with him is that I honestly swear that he is really a hairy little boy. Every morning when I wake and get dressed, Machito runs to his bin and literally picks out his shirt for the day. The dog is dressed better than me sometimes.lol My cat is a mutt, SHe is two years old and her name is Soriya. The funny thing about her is that she liked to be carried in a pet handbag thingy. One day when it was really raining outside we left her inside. When we came home she was sitting in the handbag on the middle of the floor. My fiance and I, in the pouring rain, walked her up and down the street. You should have seen her happy as a clam as we were getting soaked. The funny thing is I would do it again in a minute. My fish Melly and Simon are stationed on my night stand. Every morning when my alarm goes off I open my eyes and they are literally staring at me as if they were waiting for me. All my pets are my favorites. I honestly believe that I see them smiling sometimes and to me, its a bond I wouldnt trade for the world. How about you? take time away from troubling thoughts and share your favorite pet with me and why? Pictures are great. I added my baby

I really don't have a favorite pet. Most of the pets I have had in my lifetime were actually family pets, so they weren't really "mine". Right now I foster dogs for a couple of different rescue groups, and each one is different and special in his/ her own way. Then its time to move on to the next one.

I think that is the most special relationship with a pet that you could possibly have. The ability to love a dog until it gets a special permanent family takes strength, courage, and unconditional love. I new you were a good person. You'll make a great new friend.dl

I've had so many wonderful "favorite" pets in my lifetime it would take me a day to write about all of them! I'll list a few of them - my favorite bird was a beautiful blue parakeet named Pretty Boy. He'd sit on my shoulder, my finger or hand, my head - he pooped on my head once...lol! My cats - now here's a LONG list - there was Velvet, Sweetie Pie, Pepsi, Mandy, Gregory (who was a female), Sissy (#1), Fatso, Sassy, Twinkle Toes (he had 7), and my current precious babies Sissy (#2) and Squirt, who weighs over 30 pounds. Now for my dogs - we had Pomeranians too which included Corky, Nicky, Princess and Little Joe; then there was our poodle Bridgette, our peekapoo Trouble, a German Shepherd named Baron, a beagle name Star, and hound dog named Critter and a mutt named Buster. I loved them all and wish I had all of them at once! I'd have to move out of the house myself, but I still wish I had them all. Annie

That is so adorable! I'm sure he really believed he was saving the day when he brought you that cookie. Annie

I have a pomeranian too. I think he would be hard to replace. I dont know what I would do if I didnt have him. He is quite a character. Every morning when I get up to get dressed, He goes to his bin and picks out the shirt he wants to wear. When we first got him he couldnt have been more than 4 pounds. One morning I woke up and when I went to get up I realized that right next to my head was a piece of pizza. I then looked over at my husband and he had one on his chest. I went into wake up my daughter and she had one on her pillow as well. I was laughing so hard. When we all stopped laughing we looked over and there was this jet black ball of fur, pomeranian puppy, 12 weeks old sound asleep on the pizza box. He had managed to get into the kitchen and my daughter had left the pizza on the living room coffee table. He must have thought he was sharing. Two days later he dumped over the trash and came running over with a cookie just wagging his tail as if he had saved the day. The vet explained that dogs show there love by sharing. I new then he was the love of my life. Thanks for responding.dl
