Prom Night Remake

Has anyone heard of the remake to 1980 movie Prom Night With Jamie Lee Curtis. I saw the first one a while ago and it was not good at all. Not only that by the remake is going to be PG-13. I'm not saying that its going to be bad just because its going to be rated pg-13 but everyone knows or should know that you can not make a good horror movie that is rated pg-13. That is pretty much a sign that it is not going to be good at all and that they had to cut the rating just to get it to a bigger audience.

You can be expecting a lot more PG-13 horrors to be hitting theaters...teens are the main audience wanting to see spooky things and getting a PG-13 rating lets them come in without parents, thus you see massive box office takes like Prom Night achieved and that makes studios quite happy indeed...When A Stranger Calls was testing the waters of this formula last year and Prom Night just proved it is a success and they will ride the wave until it crashes.

I just started hearing about the remake. I'm getting so tired of the remaking of old horror movies. Jeez! Can't there be any originality? There's got to be some directors who could come up with some good stuff. I'm just sick of remakes.

this actually isnt really a "remake" from what it looks like in that trailer..The original was different...the basics are the same (killers stalks and kills students on prom night) but the original one was a revenge thing on 4 specific students who accidentally killed a child yrs before..

I had not heard until just tonight that they were remaking this movie. I'm not sure I even remember what the first one was about. I think I've seen it, but not sure lol. I'm a huge horror movie person so I'd love to see the new one, I'm thinking I should rent the old one and watch it too. I agree however that a PG 13 horror movie can't be all that good :)
