wombs for rent

It is a controversy that rises the question of ethics. Surrogate Indian women rent their wombs to American parents who can't bear their own child. There are lots of success stories and I have seen some of the children born of "wombs for rent". Do you think it is ethical? Or would you do it if you are desperate to have a child? Are there complications? Or downside of it?
