A Marriage Without a Groom

Last week in the northern part of Nigeria (specifically in Jos, Plateau State), a very unusual thing happen at the occassion of the wedding of Mr Sam Anin and Miss Anna Kwame. Both are Ghanians who decided to wed in Nigeria. What happened was that on the day of the wedding, the bride was there before the groom, waiting for him to come. After like ten hours of waiting, the pastor decided to tie the lock, so the best maid-man (cos the best maid was actually a man) went to a nearby toy shop and bougth a toy-man, whivh represented Mr Anin at the wedding. The rings were exchanged between toy-man and Annah. Well the press caugth up earlier on with Mr Anin at the reception, the excuse he gave was that he was drunk, on his wedding day, so he missed the holy matrimony.
