Who completely knocked you off your feet. I'm talking about the heart racing, hard to breath, flushed and excited kinda thing... I don't think it happens very often but this happened to me once when I was 19 years old. His name was Richard Poland and he was the kind of guy who had charm, charisma and looks. The kind who knew he could get any girl. The bad boy play boy that I wanted to be the one to make settle down. God, I would have done anything to get him to settle down with me. How nieve I was! A relatinship like this one was, usually doesn't last. One thing I learned is that something like this is infatuation and nothing more. He turned out to be a jerk in the end...Shocker!!! I'm glad things turned out the way they did however because it led me to meet and marry my husband Richard and he has made my heart and pulse race on several occasions and he still manages to, even now. Not to mention he is a wonderful, caring, considerate and devoted husband. Still, have you ever felt something like the feelings I meantioned above, for someone?

Yes, I have felt those feelings for this guy who I did not have a relationship with. I was 17 and I met him at a high school party and he was cute, very cute and a Scorpio like me. He walked me home after the party and we were talking and all that good stuff. Once we reached my house, he planted on me the best kiss I have ever had. After the kiss, I asked him if he wanted to come inside. That is how good that kiss was, one I will never forget. now mind you, if I had brought Joe Joe (that was his nickname) in the house, my mother would have killed me lol.

(Sigh) I love to hear of the happy endings...Mine was a happy ending too. The fact that I didn't wind up with the loser and got a man that is and will always be 100 times better than him ;-P That's awesome though, I'm glad your experience turned out for the best!

Yes a long time ago. I was stationed in Florida and I started to go out with this one guy who was a looker and all the girls looked him up and down when ever he passed by. Well, there was a whole lot of times that he would call and say he would be by to pick me up. Then I would weight only to spend the evening by myself. I had blinders on big time until my girlfriend told me about him going out with this other girl. Come to find out this was not just another girl this was the women he was going to marry. I quit going out with him and was hurt for quite some time. Then my girlfriend made a comment to me that hit home. That I should be glad that I didn't end up marring a jerk like him. I have been married to my husband now for 35 years as of August 2007 and count my blessings every single day.

Yeah but it's heartbreaking when you are going through it, isn't it? Wow though, that's great that you have been married for 35 years. That's amazing!

My first girlfriend swept me off my feet! We were in the same church and in the congregation, whenever she turned, my heart turned with her. I once told my friend that whenever she talked behind me that my heart skipped a beat and he told me I was being foolish but that was the truth! Too bad we broke up but to date close to 15 years down the line, she still has a special place in my heart.

I agree. I think that we all have that guy in our lives that we fell so hard for that it made us crazy just thinking about it, only to get hurt in the end. Like you, I am now with a wonderful man, who is a really great guy and husband. I think sometimes we have to go through the bad ones, in order to find the really great ones...

I've had that, and it wasn't that long ago either. Although my feelings for him aren't as strong as they were when I first met him, they are still there. There is something about him that just makes my mojo rise! lmao! He is the best kisser, amazing in bed, a fantastic father, just an ordinary guy... and yet I long for him like I have longed for no other. At one time, it was totally reciprocated, and let me tell you, I would NEVER settle for anything less than that again because of that experience. :)

Yeah, I don't blame you. God, it's great to feel like that. I love my hubby though and I wouldn't trade him in for the world or change a thing now....
