i bought a potty for my daughter at 20 months i did not start potty training her but let her play with the potty get use to having it around. she is now 22 months old and has gotten onto the potty, she sits on it and says potty time, but she doesnt take her diaper off or anything she is basicly training herself and begining to understand what it is for. as far as training, trying tocatch the child everytime he/ or she starts to go is pretty much not going to happen, i found that with my sisters and brothers children you just let them go at there own pace. eventualy they will learn to use the potty. my 1 sisters son was so afraid of the potty until he was able to see that it wouldnt hurt him, thats the biggest reason why i bought one for my child so early so she can pick it up drag it around and see nothing will happen. as far as her being potty trained im letting that be up to her when she is ready she is ready but i do not think anything is wrong with the parents trying to train the child. differant stroks for differant folks
