Have you ever set up an aquarium so that you could learn more about the fish?

I raise tropical fish, more specifically American cichlids. They are as close to sunfish and bass as you can get without actually having the game fish in your aquariums. I have found that by watching the cichlids and doing different things with them that they will react in ways that resemble the sunfish (and basses). What I am wondering is how many of you have done the same or even set up a tank with bass and/or sunfish or other gamefish. If you did , did you have the permits and/or fishing licience to do so?

Sorry not me; however, it would be interesting to see how they react in your fish tank. My experiments are with goldfish, who have shown how smart they are and just how much they can learn. I wish that my garage had more room for tanks, as I enjoy getting new fish.
