Lonliness.....

I too have experienced lonliness in my life,at that time i used to think a lot and my classmates used to call me sleeping beauty not because sleeping in the class but because i used to be very thought ful person and they used to tease me by saying who am i thinking about. but some people are like that and i come in the same list,i love lonliness because it seems that all the world is on one side and me and my thoughts are on the other side.its not reality but it gives you happiness,may be because you dont have one to share your life with aqnd be a normal buddy.

I find I am able to do as I want wneh I want, I know longer have to answer to any body, I have lots of friend and family. So it is not like I never see people, in fact my social life is busier now then at any time in my life. I love my home, and can do what ever I choose there. I so enjoy the peacefulness, also the quiet is something I really enjoy, after growing up in a family of 9 children, then raising 3 children, quiet is such a beautiful thing. I can honestly say, this time alone has helped me to love myself and enjoy who I am, no interuptions, no distractions, no one to make me feel bad. Yep I may just stay alone for the rest of my life, I like it that much.

It is hard for people to move on sometimes although it is the best thing to do. I am an introvert, love being in my home just doing whatever I want whether it be cleaning or cooking or just sitting in front of the t.v. watching my favorite show. On the other side of that coin, just because a person chooses to live alone doesn't meant that there is something wrong. Nothing beats peace of mind, nothing! and that is what people seek sometimes.....peace of mind! There was a point where I had no peace of mind and believe me it's no fun, but now I can have it (when the kids aren't getting on my nerves) and I love it. ;)

Some people choose to live alone because like you said they have been betrayed alot in their lives and they don't want to let anyone else "in"so they just stay to themselves mainly...but I don't think I could just live by myself without anyone else because I would go stir crazy...I mean no on to talk to or do anything with..that would drive me crazy

I have experienced loneliness but I never feel lonely now I live alone. I am not isolated, I speak to people every time I go out and I like people, but at home I am happy with my own company and am never bored.

There are alot of reasons people live alone. Bad relationships, less stressing (no one to care for or be dependent on) depression, do not allow closeness from others, illness. All lonely people do not have a bad story, some people find it rejoicing and peaceful, especially if they are not use to having a drama free life.
