I Guess I Just Had To Join You....

It can give you mood swings too. I had a great niece living with me who had lots of asthma problems. When we had to put her on steroids it was a very rapid cycle from severe, crying her heart out depression to a giddy drunk running up and down the stairs. Luckily, when I had to take steroids it had nowhere near that effect. I am tending to side with your mom. I hope you feel better soon. Steroids also reduce your immune system.

There is a new strand of the flu which wasn't caught in time before the flu shots were made and it's what most people are catching. I have lupus so I can easiliy catch anything and HAVE to have the flu shot every year. But I'm on steriods right now thanks to shoulder pain which my doctor thinks it's due to a herniated disc in my spine and I going in to have an mri tomorrow afternoon to see what is going on but in the meantime, I missed a dose of it yesterday and the day before and my mom thinks that may be the problem. I can only hope because I sure feel miserable. It's bad enough that the stuff makes one gain so much weight and then to make you feel awful? Oh man it sucks! lol

I was lucky this year. I had totally forgotten to get my yearly flu vaccination. I caught the stomach flu but not the influenze luckily. I avoided the aches and pains. Just the sinus headaches and what not. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

After talking to my mom, she thinks it could be the steriod that I'm taking due to a possible herniated disk in my neck which is hurting my shoulder. You know how you have to take the pills at a certain time and at the days go by the amount is lowered till the body is weaned off, well I missed a dose two days in a row so maybe just maybe I'm having side effects from that. I go in tomorrow for an mri to see what exactly is going on with my neck then we can know for sure what the heck we're treating. I do know this though. I'M SO SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND BEING IN PAIN!! :o)

I just pray it's not actually this flu that's going around and the meds instead.

I got the new flu too. I ended up in the emergency room. It was awful.
