What will you do if you lost your dog?

I lost my dog few months ago, and i was confuse, what would i do.
I asked all neighbors and some friends stay near and post some posters about my dog. Arggghhh... But i was happy, last week i found him around my house again, without his necklace. my gosh!
Its ok now, since i found him.
How about you, have you experienced lost your dog?
what would you do if you lost your dog?

When I was alittle girl I was given a puppy,a foxie.I went to a park to play and it was there my attention was lost,as was my puppy,and I never found him.We have had many dogs over the years,however have only lost one who is still with us,he has escaped on several occasions,so good at it is he..but only leaves to find us.lucky he has a tag on his collar with his name and phone number,also have taken him to vet for micro-chipping.Now we can sleep easily,in the knowing he if lost again has a very good chance of finding his way home.
I am so happy you found your little guy,can be very upsetting.
P.S. lost a dog over board once..another story for another day.
