Well, I guess its not a bad idea to have kimchi as space food for astronauts. Kimchi has a reputation of being a healthy food so it would be really ideal to be one among of any space food that astronauts could bring to space. I guess it depends on those that would eat them since even some young koreans don't like it but, I really like it when I had the chance to eat some when I became a teacher in an english camp for korean students. Apparently, I guess those astronauts who have that kind of inkling to a particular fermented food would really make requests if they would really want something specific with them on their journey in outer space. If they would find another planet to inhabit, they'd have to be familiar with the resources that would be available there and match whatever could be matched with that of earth so that they could at least duplicated the taste of food which is has already been familiar to human beings? Yeah.. with food getting available in almost any part of the world, taste when it comes to cultural delicacies might really go further than the society that it originated from.
