Court TV is now TruTV? What the?????

I don't get that. I am avid watcher of what I still call courtTV. I never understood why all of a sudden these shows where they show people getting impaled or police chases that are 300mph then end in horrible crashes are an entertaining TV show. Would someone please explain that to me?

its still a lot more of the same shows that used to be on court tv, but the 'true life/most extreme' get more male viewers in and thats the target audience of most every major network and most others that i know of.
