Marriage vs Annulment

While watching news on tv, my attention was caught by this line, "In 2007, Statistics says that Marriage Rate decreased while Annulment Cases increased compared to those of the previous years." To my interpretation, this means that less and lesser get married each year while more and more marriages are being annulled. What do you think of this? Why is this happening?

No, it's not that way. Lots of couple are getting married every now and then but they end up marrying someone who they don't really like that is why they change their mind and get annulled. Since getting annulment is so easy to do especially in the states. Good thing in our country it's not that is why I wanted to get married here.
