All of us at one time or another have had a broken heart. I was wondering what you have done to get yourself feeling better and how long it took?

For me I used to give myself a couple days to get over the shock then I would take my self out and give myself a makeover and move on. I would be over it in about a month max.

Women seem to get over a break-up faster than a man for some reason. Anyone know why that is?

John Gray had mentioned about, how a woman relieves the stress or burden inside her by "talking it out", women got more chance for that. They have the devices in almost anywhere. Men is different, they will need to wash it out by himself, in his Martian cave. How long he will stay inside the cave is depending on how his nearby environment that suits the process to pull him out quicker from the cave, if there isn't, then it will consume more time than it's expected. I hope this can solve one piece of the zigzag puzzle.

I think that the key to mending a broken heart is to give it a little bit of time and then try and find someone that is better than the last that won't break your heart...that way you can have a fresh start with that person...and you two can try and have a better life...and hopefully your heart wont get broken again by that person..

Time is the great healer, but I think alot of people have inner scars from being hurt badly and sometimes end up bitter or not trusting. What about those who get hurt constantly?

It was many years ago when this happened to me. I have been married to my husband going on 36 in August of this year. But when my boyfriend that I thought we were in a good relationship broke it off I was devistated. But the thing I didn't do was sit around and feel sorry for myself. I did a lot of things to keep myself busy. Dwelling on something like that does no good. I got myself involved different things and moved on with my life. Than of course I met my husband and he is very precious to me.

God is the only one that can truly mend your broken heart. you can forget about it for a while or someone can make you forget about it, but it's still there until you let him heal the wounds and scars that are so deep. I had this problem with trying to heal myself of being broken hearted and it wasn't until i gave it to the Lord that i was truly healed and able to let my husband be the husband he was supposed to be. I had been so hurt in the past that I kept him at a safe distance, but that was wrong of me. I laid everything down though at the cross and let God completely heal my heart and things have been wonderful every since then. God bless
