Hi, everyone. I am millions of Americans, who can't afford health insurance, so forgo on seeing a doctor in such a case. For many others like myself, I am researching into Discount Plans, which work with or without health insurance, as at least it's 50% or more off on Medical; Dental; and Vision. I found this one plan, where it starts at $19.95 for "just the Dental, as Vision is included", while for just Medical itself, $29.95/month. There's NO very high annual deductibles and ALL people can join, even with Pre-Existing Conditions and have coverage ASAP. I will be more than happy to pass this information on to you, as right now, I am healthy to forgo insurance, but still worry about "What happens if I trip on ice and snow and break my leg; etc.?" In the meantime, have a great day and I hope this information helps. It's so sad to live in a so-called Industrialized Nation, as over 45 million people can't afford health insurance, either by themselves or through employers AND the deductibles are VERY HIGH, so outrageous, you are only making the insurance cos. rich, while you get nothing in coverage in return! $2,500-$7,000/ANNUAL DEDUCTIBLES in 99% of plans, even through companies, with very expensive over $100/month for just a single plan, as majority jobs don't even pay $10/hour! Have a great day!

Hi tgbunny, I feel for you. The whole "health care" situation in the USA seems appalling from where I sit. To be honest, I get the impression that your health industry has been hijacked by commercial interests who are milking the American population for profits. The insurance companies represent just one more parasitic industry sucking as much as they can out of the bleeding public. BUT I do believe the core problem which has now encouraged insurance companies to get onto the bandwagon is the outrageous costs that are being charged for medical services. That's where the REAL highway robbery is occurring, and the insurance companies are just living off that stupendous cash-flow to the hospitals, medical staff and pharmaceutical companies. A similar thing is happening in Australia, and everyone is starting to worry about the cost of medical insurance here too. But it's still the same story, the REAL culprit in this mess is the out-of-control commercial exploitation of "health care". What can you do? I'd like to know, if anyone has the answer.
