like the title, how to use your body to protect the ball? Mostly when I wanna make a dribble to across somebody my ball can easily be stealed. Some of my friends told me that I have not protect my ball effectively for the other hand which don't make dribble doesn't be put on the right position. But I feel that I have already done that they told me. I'm puzzled... what's more,I think too much protect will decrease my speed, what's you opinion and suggestion

It's either you make for a cross-over to evade the defense, or you could make a ball-fake first before dribbling. But the best thing is, you have to use your body when you dribble and while backing down on your opponent. Use your other hand to wave off the defender, but not that much for you may be charged for an offensive foul. Also, practice dribbling the ball. Dribble away and near your body so you can control it, try to dribble it a little lower too to control your momentum. And as for slashing your way in, the best is to do a side-stepping move and wrap the ball around your both hands as you go by the defenders so it won't get tapped away from your hands.

I'm not a coach, but I am a big sports fan. I think the other hand is the best way or to dribble the ball as low as possible. If you are a forward, just shoot it. Oh yeah, and make it. Or at least pass.
