ohh my baby was such a trouble maker at that time. i mean he was so clingy that even his dad couldn't do anything. he just wanted his mother. i had to hold him upright on my and pat his back and walk about. sometimes i used to sing and walk according to the rythm. that used to make him sleep faster. but my son couldn't talk at that time. he couldn't request much except to just shout out his displeasure or request for something.

hahaha that is a good way to look at it. they're clingy to us because of our milk huh. hehe yes, that could be one, another could be because of our smell too. i heard that they can differentiate the smell of their mothers and fathers and i tend to agree because if you ever noticed, there's a particular smell that you have on your clothes, while your husband tend to have another smell on his. it's basically our own unique smell and not perfumes of course. grins thanks for replying back. have a great day.

When my daughter was small I have to sing for her. Now my son listens to his favourite songs from my mobile or from my MP4 player. But he wants to listen to all the songs he likes and it takes nearly 2 hours for it to complete. And till that time either me or DH have to be awake and lie down with him.

When my daughter was that age (20 years ago), the only way we could get her to sleep was for her dad to rock or and for me to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" to her over and over again. Sometimes I would sing that song for an hour or two. It was so frustrating. She would cry for *hours* if we put her down by herself. I couldn't take it anymore. I was afraid that someone would call the police. This lasted for approximatly 3 months. Oooo life was so frustrating back then. Now.....my grandson. Emily will tell him it is sleep time and he will lay doown. She lays down with him sometimes. He will eventually fall asleep. He took a nap here last weekend and I was actually jealous that she got him to sleep so easy. LOL
